A relaxed half-day introduction to Madeira's countryside around Câmara de Lobos. Wind through banana plantations, cherry and apple orchards and fragrant eucalyptus forest above Quinta Grande, then climb into the mountain vineyards of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos — terraced slopes that produce more than half of all the wine grown on the island.
Stop for typical Madeiran refreshments — local drinks and cakes — before taking in the spectacular Nuns' Valley (Curral das Freiras) from a dramatic viewpoint high above the village. Ideal if you're short on time or arriving on a cruise.
